In Sweden, the AutoMotorSport announced that BMW will release the future new generation sedan, the BMW 5 Series. But it will be so soon, in 2010. The four-door vehicle will be made under a new platform and a new and completely retuned design. However, some specifications from its previous model will still be available on the new car. BMW actually calls it the “flame surfacing”. Of course, the signature characteristics like the convex shapes and the concave will still be on the 5 Series.
The new design was made by the illustrator Radovan Varicak according to AutoMotorSport. The designer actually used some details of its 3-Series namely the rear lamps. The “V” shaped hood lines are also placed on the new car design. The hood extends down the front grille bumper fascia with the coupe-like roof-line that also extends down going to the luggage lid and the quarter panels. In this whole redesign process, the bangle butt disappears.
BMW never denied the fact that when they released the E60, costumers backed off a little but according to the AMS, the release of the new car in 2010 will gain back the confidence the company lost. BMW also promises better car models in the future and they will continue to use new technologies that will enhance the quality and durability of their cars and their BMW parts as well.
And for us? We should I guess we should start saving so we can buy that new car. I just wish that the BMW uses the Toyota Strategy: Quality car with great value. It’s a nice idea, right guys?
