For this month the Lotus Cars has released its latest limited edition, the exciting Club Racer which is a distinctive version of the Exige S. The Club Racer represents real value benefiting from all the standard upgrades that feature a number of unique additions. The track logo on the Club Racer is a tribute to the racing heritage and passion, which is basic to the Lotus brand. The Club Racer features a sky-blue and black paint scheme, which represent the racing era of the 1960s in which the Lotus name is associated with. The retail price of the Club Racer is 39,950 pounds.

There would be 25 limited edition Club Racers offered to Lotus dealers nationwide with the following vehicle specification namely Exige S, Sport Pack, Touring Pack, Super Touring Pack, Sports Exhaust, and Airconditioning. There are also additional components offered such as Hethel track decals, special edition paint Sky-blue (non-metallic) with Phantom Black Tri-Stripe Design, and some unique interior trim such as the black leather and carbon fiber effect leather with color coded stitching.

And going back to the Lotus Exige S, this vehicle is said to be based on purely phenomenal performance and handling attributed to development of the supercharger and intercooler package that was first built for the first time for the legendary Lotus Sport Exige 240R.

The Exige S has a peak power of 162.5 kW at 7800 rpm, 215 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. Its maximum engine speed is 8,000 rpm. The Lotus engineers has made sure that despite such power the Exige S will still retain that vehicle body type approved for all the markets in which it is distributed.

The Lotus Exige S is one of the fastest cars both on normal roads and around a circuit. This incredible performance is attributed to the aerodynamic package equipped on the Exige S which produces 41.2 kg of downforce – 19.3 kg at the front and 21.9 kg at the rear at 160 km/h. The downforce ratio between front at 47 percent and rear at 53 percent is balanced and remains stable at the various speeds in which the Exige S is capable of performing.
