
News from Auto 123 states that Volvo, the Swedish carmaker and producer of high quality Volvo fuel door hinge has recently announced their latest incentive program that will provide buyers of S40, S60, S80, XC90, C30, V50, and C70 models with rebates of up to $5,000. The said program is focused on 2008 models but will also include some of the remaining 2007 models.
Steve Blyth, President and CEO of Volvo Canada would like to stress that the company and its retailers are treating its customers equally and therefore will not discriminate between leasing, financing, or cash buyers. The company will offer similar incentive scheme to both cash buyers and finance or lease customers. The rebate program is to be offered to a majority of Volvo vehicles to all customers irrespective of their chosen way of conducting the transaction.
Mr. Blyth said that this is all part of attracting customers into dealerships. Volvo’s cash rebate program combines a great lease and finance rates that give shoppers a reason to visit their local dealerships.
He also added, "We realize Canadians are looking to the US market and comparing prices of vehicles with the same nameplate. We hope they also notice that Canadian Volvo vehicles have a longer list of standard equipment, a more comprehensive warranty offer and a retailer network equipped with parts to service built-for-Canada vehicles. That said, we recognize that the price is perhaps the most important factor in a purchase decision. Our plan is that this new rebate program will help customers avoid considering the added cost, hassle, time and intricacies of importing a vehicle from south of the border."
